Rocky Men’s and Women’s Cross Country Qualify For NAIA Cross Country National Championships in Vancouver

KANSAS CITY, Mo.- The NAIA released the qualifiers for the 2023 Men's and Women's Cross Country National Championships, in which Rocky Mountain College was selected as an At-Large Bid for both races.

Both teams finished third at Friday's Frontier Conference Championships, led by four All-Conference performers. On the men's side, Jackson Wilson won his fourth consecutive Frontier Conference Individual Championship, while Corbyn Svec finished seventh overall to earn his first All-Conference nod. Sophomore Jayden Woodland was the Frontier Conference runner-up, after finishing 10th a season ago in her freshman season, Woodland turned in a second place finish. Freshman Taylen Stinson trailed shortly behind her, crossing the line fourth overall for All-Conference honors.

The last time Rocky's men's and women's teams qualified in the same year was 2019, where both teams placed inside the top-12 overall. The Rocky women competed as a team a season ago, finishing 25th overall in Tallahassee, Florida. Jackson Wilson competed as an individual in last season's championship, finishing 16th overall.

The NAIA also released its final NAIA Cross Country Top 25 Rating on Tuesday, where the Rocky men were placed 23rd, while the women were picked 24th.

The NAIA Cross Country National Championship Race will take place on November 17th in Vancouver, Washington. The Women's 6,000-meter race will take place at 10:30 am (PT), with the Men's 8,000-meter race following at 11:30am. The races will be held at the Fort Vancouver Historical Course.
