Battlin’ Bears Drop Saturday’s Match to Hope International 5-0

COSTA MESA, Calif.- A match to forget for the Battlin' Bears as they dropped their Saturday matchup against Hope International University 5-0. 

Hope International maintained control on both ends throughout, outshooting the Battlin' Bears 23-9 (11-4 on goal). Possession was a large factor, as the Rocky women couldn't keep the ball away from their own net, which included nine Royal's corner kicks. 

Olga Luna (12:58), Christine Sunstrom (42:31), Emma Jackson (51:04 & 62:27) and Lauren Lizarraga (69:56) were all scorers for Hope International. 

The Battlin' Bears (1-2) will come home to host MSUB on Wednesday, August 30th at 7:00pm on Herb Klindt Field.
