The Battlin' Bears will begin their 2024-25 campaign in the Fortin Education Center on Thursday. The Battlin' Bears will begin their season at home for the first time since 2022-23 and have won their first game of record every season since the shortened 2020-21 season.

Key Pieces
The Battlin' Bears return seven players who saw varsity minutes a season ago, including five who started multiple games in 2023-24 (Iliana Moran, Gracee Lekvold, Angie Cavanaugh, Madeline Heggem, Brenna Linse).  The Rocky Women's roster will also include nine newcomers, which features one transfer (Sydney Dethman), four freshmen (Lily Cavanaugh, Paige Wasson, Isabelle Heggem, Hailey Fiske), and four returners from the 2023-24 JV team that have been elevated to the varsity roster (Juanita Joseph, Isabella Morris, Sydney Von Bergen, Emma Pillsbury).

Preseason All-Conference Nods
Two Battlin' Bears were named to the Frontier Conference Preseason All-Conference team, seniors Gracee Lekvold and Sydney Dethman. Lekvold was a 2023-24 First Team All-Frontier Conference selection and an All-Defensive team member for the second straight season. Dethman enters as a transfer from Fresno State, starting 31 games for the Bulldogs last season, averaging 6.4 points and 3.9 rebounds.

Scouting the Buccaneers
Park-Gilbert began their season this past Thursday with a pair of matchups against Nelson University (formerly SAGU American Indian College), winning both by a combined score of 228-96. The Buccaneers finished the 2023-24 season 16-13, with their season ending in the Semifinals of the GSAC Tournament.

Scouting the Firestorm
Arizona Christian begins their season on Thursday against #8 Carroll College before traveling to Billings to take on the Battlin' Bears on Saturday. In 2023-24, Arizona Christian finished the season with a record of 18-13, earning an At-Large birth into the NAIA National Tournament, falling in their opening-round matchup with Reinhardt University 65-64 in Great Falls.
