Rocky Women’s Soccer Falls to Top-Seeded College of Idaho 3-0 in CCC Semifinals

MEDFORD, Ore.- The Battlin' Bears had their CCC Tournament run ended by the top-seeded Yotes via a 3-0 defeat in the Semifinals on Tuesday afternoon.

How it Happened

The Battlin' Bears were held in check offensively throughout the afternoon, totaling just four shot attempts, with just one being on goal.

Like the first matchup between these two programs this season, the College of Idaho rattled off back-to-back goals. Alexis Eiguren scored consecutively in 40 seconds, the first coming off of a free kick deflected by the Battlin' Bear defense but finding Eiguren's feet and into the net. Moments later, Eiguren collected a clearance attempt from Rocky and proceeded to take the shot herself, unassisted, to give the Yotes a two-goal lead in the 27th minute.

College of Idaho added an additional goal before halftime, as Isabel DeVille got her head on a corner kick that found the goal to give the Yotes a 3-0 lead.

While the Battlin' Bears allowed just one shot on goal in the second half, their offensive attack was stifled by the No. 10-ranked College of Idaho, who remain undefeated on the 2024 season.

Scoring Summary

26' COI - Alexis Eiguren (Ast. Kyndra Lyons)
27' COI - Alexis Eiguren

43' COI - Isabel DeVille (Ast. Alondra Osuna)
