Game Notes

On the Road
After briefly returning home for an exhibition matchup with MSU Billings, the Battlin' Bear women enter another road trip, this time with a visit to Dickinson, North Dakota, to compete in the Sam Milanovich Classic, hosted by Dickinson State University.

Can't Win If You Can't Score
Rocky's defense has been a key factor in their success so far this season. They hold their opponents to just 58.0 points per game, the top mark in the Frontier Conference and inside the top 30 of the NAIA.

Massey Ratings
According to the NAIA Women's Basketball Massey Ratings, the Battlin' Bears have the sixth-ranked defense in the NAIA through their first six games of record. Looking ahead, the Rocky women have the second-ranked Strength of Schedule, including future games, as Rocky's non-conference schedule still features matchups with top-25 teams Mayville State and Loyola University (La.), along with top-10 ranked conference opponents Carroll College and University of Providence.

Scouting the Blue Hawks
Dickinson State enters the weekend with a 3-4 overall record, having won three of its first four games. However, they have dropped three straight going into their matchup with Rocky. Dickinson State returns all three top scorers from last season and will seek their first win over Rocky since 2016.

Scouting the Vikings
Valley City State enters the weekend 6-3 this season but holds a record of 2-3 against NAIA opponents. Senior guard Ashlyn Diemert was the Vikings' leading scorer in 2023-24 and leads VCSU with 13.7 points per game this season.
