BUCKEYE, Ariz.- The Battlin' Bear women shot their best round of the season and the fourth-best round in program history, while the men sustained their strong start on day two to sweep the team awards in Arizona.

Grace Metcalf and Tyla Potgieter led Rocky's second-day surge with top-five finishes, with Metcalf finishing fourth with a total score of five-over-par 149 (77, 72) and Potgieter finishing fifth with a score of six-over-par 150 (77, 73). Kadence Fischer broke the top-ten individually with a score of nine-over-par 153 (77, 76). 

Isabella Downing tied for 14th overall with a score of 13-over-par 157 (82, 75), and Kirsten Smith tied 17th overall with a score of 14-over-par 158 (80, 78) to round out the Rocky scorers. 

The Battlin' Bears finished strong with their best round of the season on the final day, shooting eight-over-par 296 to total a team score of 31-over-par 607, winning the tournament. The Battlin' Bears, who received votes in the most recent NAIA Coaches Poll, defeated No. 14-ranked Embry-Riddle (AZ) and finished four strokes ahead of the University of British Columbia - Okanagan.

The Rocky men placed two in the top three overall at Verrado Golf Club, as Jared Smith finished second overall with a score of three-under-par 213 (69, 72, 72) and Jake Johnson followed in third with a score of two-under-par 214 (74, 72, 68). Johnson had the best individual round of the tournament on the final day, shooting four-under-par 68 with five total birdies in the fourth round. Kristjan Burkelca rounded out the top ten individually, finishing seven-over-par 223 (74, 75, 74). 

Nolan Wilson finished 23rd overall with a score of 16-over-par 232 (74, 78, 80), and Aidan McDonagh finished 40th with a score of 22-over-par 238 (78, 83, 77) to round out the Battlin' Bear scorers. 

The No. 12-ranked Battlin' Bear men finished first overall with a team score of 15-over-par 879, defeating the No. 11-ranked OUAZ Spirit by ten strokes. Other ranked teams Rocky defeated included No. 25-ranked St. Thomas (Fla.), along with (RV) Arizona Christian.
