BILLINGS, Mont.- Sophomore Sam Norman has been named the Erck Hotels/Frontier Conference Golfer of the Week after setting a tournament record at last week's Beartooth Invitational at Laurel Golf Club.

Norman, a Laurel High School graduate, dominated on his home course at the 54-hole Beartooth Invitational Tournament with a 16-under-par total of 200 (67-66-67) to secure individual medalist honors by a staggering 15 strokes. Over three rounds, he carded a tournament-high 21 birdies while limiting mistakes to just five bogeys and zero double bogeys or worse. His standout performance propelled the Battlin' Bears to a commanding 44-stroke team victory in their home tournament.

The honor marks the second of Norman's career at RMC and his second time earning the honor in the past three weeks.
