Battlin' Bear Recap

The Rocky women went 1-1 over the weekend, grabbing a dominant win over MSU-Northern before falling to No. 8 ranked Carroll College on Saturday afternoon.

Morgan Baird picked up her scoring pace in her first two games back in action, scoring 16.0 points per game on over 60% shooting from the field coming off of the bench. Baird returned after missing five games.

Madeline Heggem recorded five blocks in the win over MSU-Northern last Thursday, the most in a single game by a Battlin' Bear since the 2021-22 season. She's the only player in the Frontier Conference to record five or more blocks in a conference game this season and one of only two players to record five or more blocks in a single game all season.

After Rocky's wins over Montana Tech and MSU-Northern, the Battlin' Bears are 11-2 this season in games they have shot higher than 30% from three-point range.

Brenna Linse and Morgan Baird have provided challenges for opposing defenses all season, as the pair holds the two best field goal percentages in the Frontier Conference among qualified players. The post duo also ranks in the top 10 in the Frontier Conference in offensive rebounds per game.
