Game Notes

1-0 Start Coming Home
The Battlin' Bears will play their second divisional matchup and their third home game of the season on Saturday, hosting Dickinson State. Rocky enters the weekend as one of just two teams in the East Division without a loss in divisional play, looking to continue their battle for the top spot.

Bear Raid Continues
Entering the weekend, the Battlin' Bears still boast the second-best passing offense in the East Division this season, averaging 242.0 yards per game in the air, led by the East Division's leading receiving Darius Haskin, who has already totaled over 600 yards receiving this season, along with seven touchdowns. Even after they were held to their season-low in passing yards in the win over Valley City State (162), the Battlin' Bears posted their best rushing game of the season, rushing for 131 yards, led by a career-high 98 yards and a touchdown by sophomore Tuff Adams.

Strong Legg
Battlin' Bear punter and kickoff specialist Jordan Legg has carried the torch of a string of excellent punters for Rocky. The redshirt sophomore ranks third in the NAIA this season,  averaging 42.5 yards per punt. He has pinned nine of his 19 punts inside of the 20-yard line.

Big Play Potential
Rocky's offense has shown their ability to create big plays for scoring output, compiling seven touchdowns this season of 20 or more yards. Defensively, Rocky has limited big plays from their opposition, as they've yet to allow a play of 40 or more yards on defense this season.

Scouting the Blue Hawks
Dickinson State enters the weekend searching for momentum, as they have fallen on a four-game losing skid. The Blue Hawks, who were ranked nationally as high as No. 11 this season, won their first two games of the season over Valley City State and MSU-Northern.

Offensively, Dickinson State is led by receiver Semaj Clark, who ranks second in the East Division in receptions (37) and touchdowns (6). The Blue Hawks have seen three different quarterbacks play this season, but leading the group is Marcus Sanders, who averages 244 yards per game with 10 touchdowns and four interceptions.

Defensively, Dickinson has allowed 28.0 points per game but has been successful in creating turnovers, with six interceptions, three fumble recoveries, and 11 sacks this season. Defensive lineman Dylan Dahlgren ranks fourth in the East Division this season with 3.5 sacks, as well as 6.5 tackles for loss. Defensive back Jack Hartman has snagged a conference-leading four interceptions.
