Three Battlin’ Bears Earn All-Conference Recognition; Lee Named to All-Defensive Team

BILLINGS, Mont.- Jaylon Lee earned First Team All-Conference and All-Defensive Team honors, while guards Jesse Owens and Omari Nesbit were named Second Team All-Conference. 

Jaylon Lee, a junior from Las Vegas, Nevada, was named First Team All-Frontier Conference and All-Defensive Team. He averaged 13.7 points, 11.1 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 0.9 steals, and 1.9 blocks per game while shooting 56.6% from the field this season. Lee was the leading rebounder and shot blocker in the Frontier Conference this season by a wide margin, ranking eighth in the NAIA in rebounds per game and tenth in blocks per game. He also ranked sixth in the Frontier Conference in points per game, third in field goal percentage, and was the leading offensive rebounder in the conference. This season, he totaled nine Frontier Conference Defensive Player of the Week awards and one NAIA National Player of the Week award. 

Jesse Owens, a senior from Billings, Montana, was named Second Team All-Frontier Conference for the second consecutive season. In his senior season, Owens averaged 12.5 points, 3.6 assists, and 1.1 steals per game, while shooting 44.2% from the field and 38.6% from three-point range. He led the Frontier Conference in assists per game, also breaking the program record in career assists. He ranked 11th in the Frontier Conference in points per game, seventh in made threes per game, and ninth in steals per game. 

Omari Nesbit, a junior from Sacramento, California, was named Second Team All-Frontier Conference. Nesbit averaged 11.7 points, 2.3 rebounds, and 1.4 assists while shooting 45.5% from the field, 35.9% from three-point range, and 95.0% from the free-throw line. During conference play, Nesbit was Rocky's leading scorer, averaging 12.9 points per game. 

Nine Battlin' Bears were also named Academic All-Conference, presented by Billings Clinic. To be eligible for the award, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore in standing and carry a minimum 3.25 cumulative grade point average. Below are Rocky's honorees, listed in alphabetical order.
