SILVIS, ILL.- The Battlin' Bears will continue play in round two, teeing off at 11:50 am on hole one on Thursday afternoon. 

Jared Smith led the charge for Rocky, finishing even-par 71 after the first round. His back nine was consistent, totaling eight pars and one birdie, putting him 20th overall individually. 

Jake Johnson turned in a strong finish to the round to finish three-over-par 74. After a slow start, the senior totaled a score of 34 on the front nine with eight pars and one birdie. 

Aidan McDonagh and Kristjan Burkelca rounded out Rocky's scorers, finishing four-over-par 75. Nathan Piers followed closely behind, finishing five-over-par 75 to wrap up the Battlin' Bear competitors. 

Rocky totaled a team score of 11-over-par 295. They sit tied in 12th place, tied with eighth-ranked MidAmerica Nazarene and Victoria BC. 

The Battlin' Bear men will begin Thursday's round two on hole one, with their first tee time at 11:50 am (MT). Following tomorrow's completion of the first round and Thursday's second round, the field will be cut to the top 15 teams and ties, and the top six individuals not on one of those teams. The final round is slated for 8 a.m. CT on Friday, May 23.
