BILLINGS, Mont.- Based on their team finishes at the NAIA Championships during the 2024–25 season in both cross country and track and field, the Rocky men were ranked 20th in the NAIA in the Jack Hazen Program of the Year standings.

The USTFCCCA Program of the Year Award honors the institution that has achieved the most success in each academic year (spanning the cross country, indoor track & field, and outdoor track & field seasons) based on the institution's finish at their respective Championships. The NAIA Men's Program of the Year honor is named after Jack Hazen, a longtime NAIA Cross Country and Track and Field coach for Malone University (formerly NAIA, now NCAA DII). Hazen spent over 50 years as a coach at Malone, coaching more than 325 NAIA All-Americans in Cross Country, and served as an assistant coach for the USA Track and Field Team during the 2012 Olympic Games in London.

The Rocky men were just one of two programs in the Frontier Conference (including the incoming members for 2025-26) to score at all three championships. Carroll College finished fourth in the standings. In total, the Battlin' Bears were one of just 22 NAIA programs this season to score at all three national competitions.

The Battlin' Bears earned an at-large bid to the NAIA National Championships in Cross Country, finishing 24th overall. Rocky totaled 525 team points, led by John Spinti and Justin Glass's side-by-side finishes in 106th and 107th, respectively. The Rocky men had the shortest time margin between their first and fifth scorers at the meet, highlighting the depth of a young team that returns all seven competitors from the 2024 NAIA XC National Championships next season.

In the NAIA Indoor National Championships, the Rocky men totaled two All-American honors in the men's pole vault. Jay Jetmore finished fifth overall, with Braden Tomlin following tied for 7th, helping the Battlin' Bears grab 5.5 team points to place 47th overall.

In last month's Outdoor National Championships, the Battlin' Bear men earned points from another pair of All-American finishes, as freshman Trystin Chapel took eighth place in the long jump and Jay Jetmore finished fifth overall. Their five team points landed the Rocky men tied for 48th overall in the team standings.

In total, the Battlin' Bears totaled 120.5 points in the Jack Hazen NAIA Men's Program of the Year Award, placing 20th overall.

Cumberlands (Ky.) was the overall winner, after a third-place finish in cross country, a second-place finish in indoors, and a sixth-place finish in outdoors, totaling 11 points.
