Rocky Ski Finishes Strong in Giant Slalom Behind Winning Efforts by Kvinlog & Straume

WINTER PARK, Colo.- Rocky Ski Racing secured five of the six podium places on Monday in Colorado. 

Women's Giant Slalom Individual Results 

After winning the Slalom competition on Sunday, Synne Kvinlog earned her second individual victory in as many days, totaling a time of 2:11.23, nearly four seconds ahead of the remainder of the field. Linnea Olesen followed behind in second with an overall time of 2:15.10. 

Klara Almqvist (5th place; 2:19.65) and Jenny Sjotun (8th place; 2:22.76) finished inside the top top overall, with Sara Akerstrom (11th place; 2:30.49) and Courtney Bumpers (13th place; 2:32.42) following inside the top 15. 

Rounding out Rocky's finishers were Malia Grantor (17th place; 2:35.69) and Mikayla Murolo (38th place; 3:10.81). 

Men's Giant Slalom Individual Results

The top three placers all donned the Battlin' Bear logo in Colorado, led by a commanding victory by Fredrik Straume, who finished over eight seconds faster than any other non-RMC competitor, 2:02.25. Jules Clerice followed in second place with a time of 2:05.08, with Nick Tibro placing third overall with a time of 2:07.94. 

Oliver Sapak rounded out the Rocky finishers with a 21st-place finish, totaling a time of 2:31.43.

The Battlin' Bears return home to host the USSA Northern Division Qualifier Cup at Red Lodge Mountain starting this Saturday, January 24th.
