Davis Scores Twice to Lead No. 20 Battlin’ Bears to 2-0 Road Win Over Warner Pacific

PORTLAND, Ore. - Billings Skyview product Charlize Davis extended her Cascade Collegiate Conference scoring lead with her 11th and 12th goals of the season, powering No. 20 Rocky to a 2-0 shutout victory over Warner Pacific on Friday afternoon.

The win marks the Battlin' Bears' sixth straight win and sixth straight clean sheet, extending a dominant streak that has kept opponents off the scoreboard since late September.

How it Happened
Rocky established relentless offensive pressure from the opening kickoff, compiling a staggering 25-3 shot advantage in the first half alone. The breakthrough came on shot 18 in the 37th minute, when Davis took the ball through a crowded pack of Knights defenders and finished for the opening goal. Just four minutes later, Davis struck again in the 42nd minute to complete her first-half brace, providing all the offense Rocky needed.

Notable Statistics
The Battlin' Bears maintained control through the final whistle, finishing with a 32-9 total shot edge and testing the Warner Pacific defense with 16 shots on target. Seven different Rocky players recorded shot attempts, led by a game-high 12 shots from Davis, who put nine on frame. Goalkeeper Matea Vernon anchored the defensive effort by stopping all six shots she faced to seal the shutout, while Knights goalie Evelyn Montiel tallied 14 saves in the loss.
