No. 8 Rocky Men’s Soccer Clinches CCC Regular Season Title With 7-0 Win Over Walla Walla

COLLEGE PLACE, Wash.- For the fifth time in program history and the first time since 2020, No. 8 Rocky Men's Soccer clinched the Cascade Collegiate Conference Regular Season Championship with a commanding 7-0 victory over Walla Walla University on Sunday afternoon.

Rocky's last conference regular-season title came in 2020, when the CCC split into two divisions. Before that 2020 campaign, the Battlin' Bears' last outright CCC regular-season crown came in 2015, the program's inaugural season in the conference.

How it Happened
The Battlin' Bears left no doubt in securing their ninth straight victory, outshooting the Wolves 24-5 and putting 14 shots on goal. Rocky has posted 16 or more shot attempts in every game of its nine-game winning streak while continuing to dominate possession. Defensively, the Bears held their opponent to single-digit shot attempts for the fourth consecutive match, recording their fourth straight shutout.

Sophomore Fynn Sweeting became the first player in the CCC to reach double-digit goals this season, netting a second-half strike as five different Battlin' Bears found the back of the net in the win.

Anton Wilms earned the start in goal, stopping both shots he faced in the victory.
