BILLINGS, Mont.- Sophomore Sam Norman turned in a top-five finish at last week's PDI Shootout to earn Erck Hotels/Frontier Conference Golfer of the Week. 

Norman, a sophomore from Laurel, Montana, finished the 54-hole tournament with a score of four-over-par 217, taking fifth overall. The sophomore displayed consistency throughout the tournament, recording 38 pars, tied for the most in the field. His performance helped the Battlin' Bears finish tied for eighth in the 16-team tournament. The elite field featured several top-ranked programs alongside Rocky, including No. 1 Keiser University, No. 7 OUAZ, No. 11 Marian University, No. 12 Wayland Baptist, and No. 19 Indiana Wesleyan. 

The honor marks the first of Norman's career at RMC.
