Rocky Volleyball Falls in Three Sets to Dickinson State

DICKINSON, N.D. - Rocky Volleyball struggled to find its footing on Friday night, falling in straight sets to Dickinson State.

How it Happened
After the Blue Hawks seized early momentum in the opening set, the Battlin' Bears answered to level the match and trigger a back-and-forth battle. Late in the frame, back-to-back kills from Ella Kincaid and Kaitlyn Wood handed Rocky a 22-20 advantage, but Dickinson State responded with five consecutive points to steal the set.

The Blue Hawks carried that surge into the second set, hitting a blistering .400 as a team while capitalizing on a quiet Rocky attack to claim a 25-12 victory. Dickinson State maintained control throughout the third frame, preventing the Battlin' Bears from establishing any offensive rhythm and sealing the three-set sweep.

Notable Statistics
Sadie Meier led the Rocky offense with a team-high six kills while adding five digs. Zoey Albert anchored the back row with 11 digs and a service ace, and Kristyn Mentink finished with 16 assists.

The Battlin' Bears were held to a season-low hitting percentage (.017) and a season-high in service errors (9). Dickinson State finished with a .207 team hitting percentage, powered by Carmen Pallone and Macie Wheeler, who each chipped in eight kills.
