Coach Jonathan Elliott graduated from Indiana State University in 2018 with a Bachelors in Recreation and Sport Management. While at Indiana State, Coach Elliott worked as a Defensive Student Assistant during the 2017 season.
After graduation, Coach Elliott went to Liberty University, where he earned his Masters degree in Sports Management. While a masters student, Coach Elliott worked for the Flames Football coaching staff as a Defensive Graduate Assistant in 2020. After graduation, Coach Elliott stayed with Liberty Football and worked in recruiting in 2021. During his time at Liberty University, Coach Elliott was a member of staffs who achieved the 2021 Cure Bowl Championship, and the 2022 Lending Tree Bowl Championship.
Coach Elliott is from Danville, Indiana. He is son to Greg and Amy Elliott, each veterans of the United States Army.
