Biography

Background: Attended Cheyenne East HS in Cheyenne, Wyoming, where he was a two sport star in both Football and Basketball. Buell was named the 2020-2021 Wyoming Gatorade Player of the Year after throwing for 3,065 yards and 38 touchdowns, while rushing for 968 yards and 15 touchdowns his senior season, leading his team to a Class 4A state championship.

Buell spent two seasons at North Dakota State College of Science (NJCAA) after high school, where he played in 20 games as the starting quarterback, throwing for 3,279 yards, 44 touchdowns, and 13 interceptions, while also rushing for 710 yards and 11 touchdowns. 

Buell's sister, Ky, is a guard for the Rocky Women's Basketball team.
