Biography

2022 Season (Sophomore): Appeared in all 10 games for the Battlin' Bears. Tied for the most interceptions in the Frontier Conference with five and was fourth in the Frontier with nine pass breakups, highlighted by two interceptions against College of Idaho. Totaled 38 tackles, including 21 solo tackles. Barnett also served as the primary punt returner for the Battlin' Bears, returning 13 punts for 172 yards for an average of 13.23 yards per return, including a 70 yard punt return for touchdown against MSU-Northern.

2021 Season (Freshman): Appeared in all 10 games for the Battlin' Bears. Totaled 39 tackles, including 28 solo tackles, grabbed his lone interception of the season against MSU-Northern. Led the team with eight pass breakups, including three against MSU-Northern. 

2020 Season (Freshman):  Appeared in all three games for the Battlin' Bears in the shortened spring season. Totaled six tackles, one tackle for loss, one pass breakups and a forced fumble.

Background: Attended Millennium High School in Phoenix, Arizona, where he played football and ran track. Studying Health and Human Performance: Exercise Science.
