Coach Len Wilkins enters his 17th season with the Battlin' Bears and his 55th season in coaching. He earned his master's degree in physical education from California State University in 1962. Wilkins began his coaching career at Mission High School in San Luis Obisop, Calif. At the collegiate level, Wilkins has worked as a head coach, associate head coach, assistant coach, and recruiting coordinator. His duties with the Battlin' Bears include recruiting, on-floor coaching, and game preparation. Wilkins has been instrumental in helping the RMC basketball program build a strong base in the junior college area.
Coach Wilkins was inducted into the California Community College Basketball Coaches Association Hall of Fame in 2001. In the Fall of 2016 he will be inducted into the Hartnell Junior College Hall of Fame, where he won 240 games from 1968-81'.
Coach Wilkins has over 50 years of coaching experience under his belt. He has been married to his wifem Edwina Wilkins, for the past 36 years.
