2022-23 Season (Junior): Appeared in 27 of Rocky's 29 games...Started nine games...Averaged 7.0 points and 4.3 rebounds on 52% FG shooting in 15.7 minutes per game...Ranked sixth in the Frontier Conference in field goal percentage...Scored a career-high 22 points against Portland Bible College...Tallied first career double-double against MSU-Northern (1/5/23) with 12 points and a career-high 14 rebounds...Totaled three blocks and three steals against Dickinson State (11/26/22).

Background: Attended Lewis Cass HS in Walton, Indiana, where he averaged 13.1 points, 8.7 rebounds, 1.4 assists, and 1.8 steals as a senior. Kitchel took one post-graduate year at Bosco Institute, before committing to Lindenwood University, which was NCAA Division II at the time, but has since transitioned to NCAA Division I. Kitchel spent three seasons with the Lions (did not appear in a shortened 2020-21 season), scoring 113 total points and grabbing 76 rebounds while shooting 52.4% from the field and 40.0% from three-point range.
