Background: Attended Upton HS in Upton, Wyoming, where he starred as a three sport athlete (football, basketball, track and field). Brooks was a three-time all-state selection, and a two-time state champion, averaging 19 points per game his senior season, leading Wyoming 1A in assists and steals on his way to being named the 2021-22 Mr. Wyoming Basketball recipient.
