Reyes-Mortero began coaching at Rocky Mountain College in August 2023 as an assistant coach for the men's soccer program. He returns to RMC after graduating in the Spring of 2023 with his Bachelors Degree in Health & Human Performance: Sports Management and Business Management, after three seasons on the Battlin' Bears men's soccer team.Â
Reyes-Mortero was a graduate from Poplar Bluff High School, where he was a three year captain and all-conference performer. He then spent three seasons playing at St. Louis Community College, where he had a 54-13-2 record, won three consecutive NJCAA DI Region 16 Conference Championships and made two NJCAA DI National Tournament appearances. Reyes-Mortero earned his Associates Degree in General Education & Business Administration from St. Louis Community College. After transferring to Rocky Mountain College in 2020, he was a part of a Cascade Conference Championships team and earned an NAIA National Tournament Appearance in 2020.Â
Reyes-Mortero still plays as a Semi-Professional player for the Arkansas Wolves, based in Little Rock, Arkansas.Â
His coaching career began in his hometown of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, where he was a personal trainer for athletes preparing to play at the college level and beyond. He was then hired to coach with Real Billings FC in Billings, Montana, where he has coached a wide variety of age groups and now coaches 13-15 year olds.Â
Reyes-Mortero is the son of Juan Reyes and Alma Mortero, and has five siblings, Lauren, Kayleigh, Jose, Lina, and Aaron. Jose was teammates with Alexis for three seasons at RMC.Â
