Coach Morehouse

Brett Morehouse

Brett Morehouse enters his third season as assistant coach and recruiting coordinator for the Battlin' Bears women's basketball program.

Morehouse began his college coaching career at the University of Montana Western where he worked as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator for the Bulldog's men's and women's basketball programs. During his time in Dillon, he recruited six student athletes who went on to earn All-Frontier Conference recognition, including three NAIA All-Americans and one Frontier Conference Freshman of the Year. In two seasons with the men's program, Morehouse helped lead the Bulldogs to back-to-back NAIA Division I National Tournaments, including an appearance in the Elite Eight in 2012-2013.

From 2013 to 2016, Morehouse served as the head women's basketball coach at Bethany College in Lindsborg, Kansas. While at Bethany, he recruited six student athletes who went on to earn All-KCAC Conference recognition, including one KCAC Newcomer of the Year and one KCAC Defensive Player of the Year. In his final season there, his team recorded the highest win total for Bethany College women's basketball since the 2008-2009 season and was a finalist for the KCAC Team of Character Award.

Prior to his arrival at Rocky, Morehouse served as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator for the women's basketball team at The College of Idaho in Caldwell, Idaho. After starting the 2017-2018 season with a 1-12 record, Morehouse was promoted to defensive coordinator and helped a young team win 10 of its final 14 games and qualify for the Cascade Conference playoffs.

Brett and his wife, Bergen, are the proud parents of three children: Liam, Maren and Joely.
