BILLINGS, Mont. – The Rocky Mountain College women's basketball team suffered a 71-48 loss to MSU Billings in an exhibition game on Monday night in the Fortin Center.

Rocky didn't have an answer for the crosstown rival in a second half that the Battlin' Bears were outscored 40-23. MSU Billings capped a 21-6 run that spanned the third and fourth quarters with 10 straight points to lead by 21 with 7:26 remaining. During the decisive run, Rocky made just 2 of 15 field goal attempts and missed all six shots from beyond the arc.

The Battlin' Bears made just 16 baskets and hit on 30.2 percent in defeat. They converted 6 of 20 from 3-point territory, including 0 for 8 in the third quarter. Rocky scored 20 points in the paint and tallied 13 assists.

The Yellowjackets finished the night shooting 50.0 percent from the field and had a 47-19 edge on the glass. They scored 12 points from 11 offensive rebounds and got 13 points from 13 Ricky turnovers.

Brooke Jones led the Battlin' Bears with 13 points and four steals.
Mikayla Jones added 12 points and two assists. Alecia Chamberlain had nine points off the bench.
Hailee Farstveet finished with six points and four assists.

Alisha Breen led three 'Jackets in double figures with 20.

Rocky will now play its next 11 games away from home. The stretch begins on Thursday when they face Dickinson State at 5:30 p.m. in North Dakota.
