KIRKLAND, Wash., Nov. 17, 2018 – Rocky Mountain College split a pair of games against Cascade Collegiate Conference foes.
On Friday, the Battlin' Bears couldn't surpass the Corban Warriors in a 65-52 loss.
The No. 24 ranked Battlin' Bears went into the half with a 29-24 lead. However, nearly three minutes into the third quarter, Corban took the lead and never looked back.
The Battlin' Bears shot only 38.5% from the floor in comparison to Corban's 51.1%.
Brooke Jones led the Battlin' Bears with 12 points on the night with three rebounds.
Rocky rebounded on Saturday with a 78-58 win against the Northwest Eagles.
The Battlin' Bears and the Eagles played each other evenly throughout the first quarter. It was in the second quarter that the Battlin' Bears pulled away by 10 points and were able to maintain a comfortable distance for the rest of the game.
The Battlin' Bears shot 51.6% from the floor and 30% on three pointers.
Alecia Chamberlin provided a large part of Rocky's offensive efforts. She led the Battlin' Bears in scoring with 24 points while also pulling in a team-high nine rebounds. She was a perfect three for three from beyond the arc.
Alyssa Big Man contributed an additional 14 points.
Rocky will return home to host Yellowstone Christian College on Tuesday. That action will take place at 7 p.m.
