BILLINGS, Mont. – Rocky Mountain College secured a 86-45 victory Tuesday night over crosstown opponent, Yellowstone Christian College.
Yellowstone would score first, but
Antuanisha Wright would quickly drain a three to put the Battlin' Bears up. From there on out, it was smooth sailing for Rocky who stayed on top with a comfortable lead for the rest of the game.
Rocky shot 50.8% from the field with 30 points scored in the paint and 11 three pointers.
The Battlin' Bears were led by the pair of
Alyssa Big Man and Wright, who each scored 16 points. Big Man pulled in six rebounds while Wright grabbed another four.
Rocky's depth provided a boost with 34 points provided from the bench.
Marissa Van Atta scored 14 points with six rebounds.
Kiana Corpus added 13 points of her own.
The Battlin' Bears held a 39-37 advantage in rebounds.
Rocky will play on Saturday against Dickinson State in Dickinson, N.D. That game will begin at 5 p.m.
