SPRINGFIELD, Ore. – Rocky's men soccer team defeated Evergreen State 2-0 to advance to to the semi-finals of the Cascade Conference Championships.
Rocky controlled the pace of play with an offensive attack that out-shot the Geoducks 21-8.
Nolan Sherwood scored the first goal of the game in the 19th minute unassisted from 10 yards out.
Sky Swenson would score the final goal of the game, to put the Battlin' Bears up by two, off an assist from
Pablo Ferreira.
Kristofer Wennin, Rocky's goalkeeper, allowed no goals while pulling in one save.
The No. 3 seeded Battlin' Bears will continue their season tomorrow against Eastern Oregon in the semi-finals of the Cascade Conference tournament.
