BILLINGS, Mont. – The Rocky Mountain College men's soccer team finished off Briar Cliff with a 2-1 victory Saturday night.
The Battlin' Bears (2-1) and the Chargers (1-1) were unable to score in the first half of play.
It was not until the 40th minute that Rocky's
Tulio Melo found the back of the net with an assist from
Marco Kummerle.
The Chargers immediately responded by scoring a goal one minute later.
The Battlin' Bears were able to take and hold the lead off
Gregor Watson's goal in the 78th minute.
Marco Kummerle assisted.
Rocky's
Kristofer Wennin allowed one goal and had five saves.
Both Rocky and Briar Cliff ended the night with six shots on goal.
The Battlin' Bears had a 4-2 advantage on corner kicks.
Rocky will stay home Monday to play Mid-America Christian at Wendy's Field. The action will kick off at 1 p.m..
