WHITEFISH, Mont. – Rocky Mountain College was picked to finish sixth in the annual Frontier Conference Men's Basketball Preseason Coaches' Poll. The Battlin' Bears earned 10 points.
Rocky finished the 2018-19 season 19-13 overall which ended with a 77-57 loss to the eventual NAIA champion, Georgetown College, in the first round of the 2019 NAIA Division I Men's Basketball National Championship.
Rocky's key returners include
Clayton Ladine who posted 260 points with a team-high 56 three pointers in addition to 91 assists last season. Ladine's 55 steals ranked No. 16 in the NAIA Division I.
Brandon The Boy also returns after scoring 243 points with 57 assists last season.
University of Providence was picked to finish first with 34 points and four first place votes. MSU-Northern finished in second with 30 points and three first place votes.
Carroll College's Dane Warp was picked as the 2019-20 Frontier Conference Preseason Player of the Year.
