BILLINGS, Mont. - Outscored 27-3 in the second half, the Rocky Mountain College Battlin' Bears fell to the Fighting Saints in a 51-17 loss.

The Battlin' Bears scored both of their two touchdowns in the first quarter. Kamden Brown connected with Lucas Overton early in the first quarter on a long 72-yard touchdown. A few minutes later, Allen Williamson raced through Carroll's defense for a 20-yard rushing touchdown. At the end of the first quarter, the Battlin' Bears led 14-3.

Carroll's Matthew Burgess and Devan Bridgewater erased the lead after each rushed for a touchdown in the second quarter. Nevertheless, it seemed that the Battlin' Bears would trail by just three points heading into the half. 

In the final play of the second quarter, Bridgewater threw a Hail Mary pass 42 yards down the field. The ball was batted around by a swarm of Battlin' Bears and Fighting Saints before ending up in the hands of Carroll's Kyle Pierce. The Fighting Saints entered the half up 24-14 instead.

That margin would only increase after halftime as the Fighting Saints outscored the Battlin' Bears 21-3 in the third quarter. Burgess and Bridgewater both rushed in again for a touchdown while Rex Irby intercepted Brown and took it to the house. 

The Saints led 45-17 at the end of the third quarter with the Battlin' Bears only score coming from a Garrett field goal.

The final touchdown of the game came from Carroll's Hunter Meacham, an offensive linemen, who rushed into the endzone from two yards out.

Brown was 13-of-25 in the air for 162 yards, one touchdown, and three interceptions for the Battlin' Bears. Overton caught six receptions for 98 yards and a touchdown. Williamson led the ground attack with 47 rushing yards and a touchdown.

Nolan McCafferty led the defense on 10 tackles with 2.5 tackles for a loss.

Carroll's Bridgewater threw 17-of-27 for 249 yards and a touchdown in addition to compiling 78 yards and two touchdowns rushing. Burgess rushed for 83 yards and two touchdowns on nine attempts. Shane Sipes caught six receptions for 109 yards.
 
Dylan Kresge had a team-high nine tackles while Irby caught two interceptions. 

With the win, the Fighting Saints complete a sweep of the Battlin' Bears this season. Rocky will next travel to Dillon, Montana to play Montana Western on November 2.
