Emeline Lafarge leads Battlin' Bears to giant slalom title at USCSA Western Regional Championships

RED LODGE, Mont. – Rocky's Emeline Lafarge powered the Battlin' Bears to a giant slalom title at the USCSA Western Regional Championships Thursday afternoon. 

The Battlin' Bears finished in first with a total team time of 5:14.06.

Lafarge earned the individual title on a combined time of 1:42.08. Sitting on an initial run of 52.41, the senior from Chamonix, France finished her second run in 49.67. She was the only skier on the day to have run below 50 seconds.

Placing in sixth, Hannah Clancy finished with a combined time of  1:44.81 on runs of 53.34 and 51.47. Carina Bracy's runs of 55.08 and 52.09 gave her a combined time of 1:47.17 and a 14th place finish.

The USCSA Western Regional Championships continue tomorrow at Red Lodge Mountain with the men's giant slalom.
