LEWISTON, Idaho. – The No. 22 ranked Battlin' Bears dropped a 72-55 loss to the No. 18 ranked Lewis-Clark Warriors Thursday night.
Despite holding the Warriors to just 1-of-21 on threes, the Battlin' Bears were unable to overcome their own accuracy issues. Rocky shot just 30 percent from the field and 17.2 percent from beyond the arc.
The Battlin' Bears were able to draw their deficit within three points earlier in the second period, but the Warriors quickly responded with an 11-2 run and maintained a lead for the rest of the game.
Three Battlin' Bears scored in the double digits.
Jared Samuelson scored 12 points while the pair of
Craig Wilmore and
Clayton Ladine contributed 10 apiece.
Rocky's bench provided 23 points in the loss.
Lewis-Clark's Dana Abe scored 31 points with nine rebounds on the night.
Rocky will next play Montana Western on Feb. 9. The action will tip off at 7:30 p.m.
