LEWISTON, Idaho. – No. 21 ranked Rocky Mountain College was unable find any shooting rhythm in a 66-42 loss to the No. 17 ranked Lewis-Clark Warriors.
Trailing from tip to buzzer, Rocky (16-9, 7-6 FC) struggled with cold shooting the entire night. Shooting just 23.8 percent from the field, the Battlin' Bears sank only 3-of-26 from beyond the arc. The Warriors (18-6, 8-5 FC) posted a 43.6 field goal percentage in comparison.
Brooke Jones scored 14 points with eight rebounds to lead the Battlin' Bears in both categories.
The Warriors won the rebound battle with a 49-36 advantage in boards. The Battlin' Bears were able to claim an 8-4 advantage in steals.
Lewis-Clark's Cali Moscrip led the home team with 23 points and seven rebounds. Jossilyn Blackman pulled in 12 points and 12 rebounds.
Rocky will stay on the road with a game against the Montana Western Bulldogs set for Feb. 9. That game will take place in Dillon, Mont., at 5:30 p.m.
