Rocky Soccer Falls in Both Matches in Ashland

ASHLAND, Ore., Oct 1, 2022- Rocky Mountain Soccer falls in both their matches against Southern Oregon to late goals, 0-1. 

A scoreless game was broken by a 77th minute goal by Southern's Gabbie Johnson. 
The Battlin' Bears women outshot Southern Oregon 15-11, but Southern Oregon was able to put more shots on goal 7-5. Halle Labert was the Battlin' Bears leading shot taker with four, as Mila Allison tallied six saves on the afternoon in defeat. Southern Oregon's Jessie Selby saved all five shots she faced.

Similarly, a scoreless game throughout much of the match was broken up late by the Raiders. A corner kick by Southern Oregon set up a goal by Sky Charley-Bolyard in the 80th minute to give the Raiders a victory. Igor Soares and Angel Mange each had four shots in the match, but the Rocky offense was unable to score for the second match in a row. Stefan Schenk tallied five saves in the defeat, while Southern Oregon's Casey Ruvolo saved all four shots he faced. 

The Battlin' Bears will travel to College of Idaho next Friday, October 7th.
