Rocky Men Fall to Corban University 2-5 Friday Afternoon

BILLINGS, Mont. Oct. 14, 2022- Rocky Mountain College Men's Soccer (6-5-1, 4-4 conf.) fell to Corban University 5-2 Friday afternoon. 

Corban struck first only 7 minutes into the match on a goal from Robin Terry. Rocky tied things up in the 32nd minute with a Niklas Kneller deflected goal, off an assist from Aaron Ulloa. Corban responded twice within the next two minutes with goals from Jaden Dubon and Alexis Luna to give Corban a 3-1 lead into halftime. Lorenzo Klamler set Ethan Maguire up for a header goal in the 56th minute to bring Rocky back within one, but Joao Gomes found net on an assist from Andres Labate in the 61st minute, and Edson Jimenez scored on an assist from Gian Gargurevich five minutes later to secure a 5-2 victory for Corban. 

The shot total was close throughout with Corban leading 12 shots to Rocky's 11, as the Battlin' Bears managed to score two goals on a defense that has only allowed one goal all season up until this point. Niklas Kneller and Angel Mange each had three shots on the day to lead the Battlin' Bears. Edson Jiminez led the Warriors with three shots as well.

The Battlin' Bears will look to bounce back Saturday evening as they play Bushnell University at 7:00pm on Herb Klindt Field.
