Rocky Men’s Basketball Begins Season 2-0 After 107-67 Victory Over SAIT

GREAT FALLS, Mont. Oct 28, 2022- Rocky Men's Basketball is off to a great start to the season, picking up a win in both of their games in the Providence Tourney after defeating Southern Alberta Institute of Technology 107-67. 

Elliott Brooks ended with 23 points, shooting 8-12 from the field and 6-9 from three point range,  Tayshawun Bradford finished with 20 points, five rebounds and three assists, and Jesse Owens finished with 14 points and six assists on the day. 

Kuol Kuol led SAIT with 26 points and 14 rebounds on the day. Kerian Valdes also added 15 points in the loss.

"The guys came out ready early and got us off to a good first half," Coach Bill Dreikosen said. "I thought we lost some intensity in the second half and didn't rebound the ball well. Overall, a good first couple of games and now we'll need to be ready to play again Sunday."

The Battlin' Bears will host The King's University at 2:00pm on Sunday for their first home match of the season.
