Rocky Men Defeat Carroll College 2-0 Friday Afternoon

BILLINGS, Mont. Oct. 28, 2022- Rocky Mountain College Men's Soccer (9-6-1, 7-5 conf.) defeated Carroll 2-0 on Friday afternoon at home. 

Things were knotted up on the scoreboard 0-0 throughout the first half, but Rocky had controlled the game up until that point, totaling nine shots to Carroll's two in the first half. Niklas Kneller broke the ice for the Battlin' Bears, scoring in the 66th minute, set up by a header from Quique Garcia. Igor Soares broke free for a one on one with the keeper after a tremendous set up pass from Aaron Ulloa, resulting in another Rocky goal only three minutes later. 

The Rocky defense did what they needed to, holding the Saints to six shots total with only three shots on goal. Stefan Schenk saved all three shots he faced in an impressive showing. 

Carroll's Ryan Croft turned in a great game, despite the two goals given up, saving 10 shots total with multiple eye opening saves throughout. Adam Webster led Carroll with two total shots on the day.

The Battlin' Bears will host Walla Walla University on Sunday at 1:00pm to celebrate Senior Day in the final match of the regular season.
