Rocky Women’s Basketball Announces Signing of Baylee Young

BILLINGS, Mont., Oct 6, 2022- Coach Wes Keller and Rocky Women's Basketball announces the signing of Baylee Young. 

Young is a 5-Foot-9-Inch point guard from Gig Harbor, Washington. In her career at Gig Harbor High School, Young averaged 14 points per game, five rebounds per game, six assists per game, and four steals per game. Young was named Team MVP and Offensive MVP, while being first team SPSL in 2020-21 and second team All League 3A South Sound Conference in 2019-20 and 2021-22. Young is coached by Mike Guinasso at Gig Harbor High. 

"Baylee is a great addition to our program." Coach Wes Keller said. "She is an excellent student and a very good basketball player. Baylee is a very good athlete who can really score the basketball. She is an excellent defender and will bring toughness on the defensive side of the floor. We are excited to watch her progress over the next four years."

"I chose Rocky Mountain for their competitive basketball program and aviation." Young said. "I have the opportunity to play basketball and become a pilot."

Young plans to study Aeronautical Science.
