Rocky Women’s Basketball Completes Weekend Sweep By Defeating Dickinson State 79-48

DICKINSON, N.D. Nov. 26, 2022- Rocky Women's Basketball won both their games in Dickinson this weekend after defeating Dickinson State 79-48 Saturday afternoon.

This game was all Rocky from start to finish, as Dickinson State never held a lead in the game. After shooting 54% from the field as a team on Friday night, Rocky used another great shooting game to propel them to a lopsided victory, hitting 10 threes (10-34) and shooting 50% from the field (28-56). 

The Battlin' Bears were led by 18 points, three rebounds and two steals from Morgan Baird, 12 points, four rebounds, two blocks and two steals from Dominique Stephens, and 12 points and seven rebounds from Mackenzie Dethman. 

Dickinson State was led by eight points, four rebounds, and three assists from McKenzie Johnson, as well as four points and seven rebounds from Samantha Oase.

The Battlin' Bears (4-3) will begin Frontier Conference play next week, beginning in Butte against Montana Tech on Thursday, December 1st.
