SURPRISE, Ariz. August 27, 2022- Rocky Mountain Women traveled down to Arizona for a pair of matches and dropped the first to Ottawa University Arizona 3-1.
Ottawa got on the board early on a goal by Cassidi Calzaretta (3:56), with an assist from Saipress Jones. Anabella Bara scored later in the first half (37:45), leading into back-to-back goals after Alyce Hancock scored shortly afterwards (39:01) to extend the Spirit's lead to 3-0 going into the half.
Brynn Klinefelter got the Battlin' Bears on the board with a goal (56:32) assisted by Maja Albertson. This would conclude the action for the game, as Rocky falls to Ottawa with a final score 3-1.
Mila Allison tallied 3 saves for the game for Rocky, while Maja Albertson had a shot on goal to go along with her assist. The Battlin' Bears combined for only two shots on goal during the match.
Anabella Bara led the Spirit with 3 shots on goal and Chloe Gutierrez tallied the team's lone save. Ottawa tallied six total shots on goal for the match.
