Rocky Men and Women Complete Sweep of University of Jamestown

JAMESTOWN, N.D. Sept. 11, 2022- Rocky Mountain College men and women finish their weekend road trip by beating University of Jamestown, the women winning 1-0 and the men winning 2-1. 

Freshman Emma Lensing scored her second goal in as many days in the 16th minute of the match to complete the scoring for both teams. Jamestown out-shot the Battlin' Bears 7-4, with 2 of their shots being on goal. Rocky's only shot on goal was Lensing's score.

The men were led by another freshman, as Niclas Bickel scored two goals on the day, the first being a header from a pass from Lorenzo Klamler only four minutes into the match, then another goal in the 16th minute unassisted. Rocky's defense was able to hold Jamestown to a single shot on goal, while the Battlin' Bears were able to total 10 shots on goal on the day.

The Battlin' Bears men (2-1-1) and women (2-2-1) begin conference play this Saturday at home versus University of Providence at Wendy's Field.
