Rocky Men Start Conference Play Winning 4-1 Over University of Providence

BILLINGS, Mont. Sept. 17, 2022- Rocky Mountain College Men's soccer got their conference play off to a great start, defeating University of Providence 4-1 Saturday afternoon.

Providence kicked off the scoring with a 14th minute goal by Jesus Pulido, but it was all Battlin' Bears from then on. Goal scorers for the Battlin' Bears included Quique Garcia (17'), Igor Soares (43'), Everett Manning (67'), and Jose Reyes-Mortero (83'). Rocky outshot the Argos 13-6 in the match, and only allowed 3 shots on goals. 

Providence's Dante Montgomery tallied six saves in the defeat. 

Rocky (3-1-1, 1-0-0 conference) will stay home to face off against Northwest University in their next match on Friday, September 23rd at 3:30 pm.
