Rocky Men Defeat Northwest University 2-1 Friday Afternoon

BILLINGS, Mont. Sept. 23, 2022- Rocky Mountain College Men's Soccer (4-1-1, 2-0 conf.) take the victory 2-1 over the Northwest University Eagles (3-4-1, 1-2 conf.) Friday afternoon. 

Northwest struck first, only nine minutes into the match, with an unassisted goal by Max Herrig. It would be all Battlin' Bears from then on however, as an Angel Mange goal in the 26th minute would tie things up then an Igor Soares goal in the 62nd minute would give Rocky the lead and the win. 

Angel Mange and Igor Soares each had six shots, three of which on goal, and one goal scored on the day. The Rocky defense only allowed three shots in the match.  

Northwest's Alexander Thiehofe tallied three saves in the defeat. Tyler Siedenburg provided the other shot on goal for the Eagles.

The Battlin' Bears will be back on Wendy's Field Saturday afternoon at 3:30 pm to take on Evergreen State College.
