Rocky Women Fall Late to Northwest Eagles 1-0 Friday Afternoon

BILLINGS, Mont. Sept. 23, 2022- Rocky Mountain College Women's Soccer (2-3-3, 0-1-1 conf.) lost a slugfest against the Northwest University Eagles (6-0-2, 2-0-1 conf.) 0-1 Friday afternoon.

Neither team was able to generate many shot opportunities for much of the game, as both teams combined for only 7 shots during the match. Northwest's Elizabeth Moretti was able to break the scoreless tie in the 78th minute from a Trinity Mischel assist. This would be the only score the Eagles needed to take the 1-0 victory. 

Rocky only had 2 shots on goal during the match, one from Halle Labert, the other from Nina Rogner. Mila Allison tallied three saves in the defeat. 

Northwest's Hanne Breur saved both shots she faced in the victory.

The Battlin' Bears will be back on Wendy's Field Saturday afternoon at 1:00pm to take on Evergreen State College.
