Rocky Men’s Soccer Drops a Heartbreaker 3-2 to Oregon Tech

KLAMATH FALLS, Ore.- Two goals in the final three minutes of play stunned the Battlin' Bears as they fell 3-2 to Oregon Tech Friday afternoon. 

A scoreless first half was broken by Angel Mange in the 43rd minute with Liam Pearce on the assist, giving Rocky a 1-0 lead going into the halftime break. 

Oregon Tech would even things up in the 73rd minute, but nine minutes later, Igor Soares would score from another assist by Liam Pearce. 

The Owls would go on the offensive in the final three minutes with consecutive goals to shock the Rocky men and earn a 3-2 victory. 

The Battlin' Bears outshot the Owls 14-12 in the loss, with both teams putting eight shots on goal. Liam Pearce led the match with five total shots, while Stefan Schenk tallied four saves in the loss. 

The Battlin' Bears (4-4-2, 2-4 conf.) will take on Southern Oregon on Sunday afternoon in Ashland, Oregon. Kickoff will be at 1:00pm (MT).
