BILLINGS, Mont.- The Battlin' Bears began their conference schedule with a resounding three set victory over the Fighting Saints.

Rhiannon Nez and Makenna Bushman combined for three kills and three blocks in the midst of a 5-0 run to finish the set in a 25-19 first set victory for the Battlin' Bears. After the Saints took the first two points of the next set, the Battlin' Bears would rattle off 10 straight points as they built a substantial lead, eventually finishing the second set on another 6-0 run to take the second set 25-11. The third set saw more of the same, after Rocky jumped out to a 12-4 lead to start the set, Bella Bryan would add four more kills to finish the third set 25-13 on their way to a three set sweep. Bryan had seven total kills in the third set and 10 total on the evening.

Rocky was led by 13 kills and 12 digs from Makenna Bushman, 10 kills from Bella Bryan, 35 assists and nine digs from Blythe Sealey, and 19 digs from Brooke Ark.

The Battlin' Bears (11-6, 1-0 conf.) will take on MSU Billings in the Fortin Education Center on Monday, September 25th, before resuming conference play against Montana Western on Friday.
