Rocky Volleyball Takes Rimrock Rivalry Season Series With Three Set Victory

BILLINGS, Mont.- Rocky Volleyball dominated in their second matchup with MSU Billings, winning the season series in straight sets. 

A back and forth first set saw the Yellowjackets with a 21-19 lead as they looked to secure a first set victory. The Battlin' Bears responded however, finishing the first set on a 6-0 run that secured the first set victory. Makenna Bushman was the impact player in the first set, finishing with six early kills. 

In the battle of Billings, it was the Skyview High School graduate Bella Bryan who came to play, proving to be a difference maker in the second set and in the match overall, as she spiked eight of her game high 15 kills in the second set as Rocky ran away with a 25-20 second set victory. 

The third and final set mirrored the first two sets, as both teams bounced back and forth throughout the set until Rocky stepped on the gas to finish the set with great defense at the net. Their sweep of the 'Jackets was capitalized by Grace Zeier's 20th and 21st service aces of the season to secure the final two points in Rocky's Rimrock Rivalry sweep.
