Rocky Ski Finishes Strong to Conclude Action at Red Lodge Mountain

RED LODGE, Mont.- The Battlin' Bears place six inside the top 10 overall in both the men's and the women's Slalom to wrap up their competition at Red Lodge Mountain.

Hilde Iren Sato earned her second individual victory of the weekend, finishing with an overall time of 1:44.52 to lead six Baattlin' Bears who placed in the top 10 overall. Bergitte Varne followed in second with a total time of 1:45.34, Synne Kvinlog took third with a time of 1:47.30, and Sofia Brustia finished fourth with an overall time of 1:47.91. Reese Harman finished ninth overall with a time of 1:54.29 and Sara Akerstrom followed in 10th with a time of 1:54.41.

On the men's side, Felix Besser earned his first individual victory of the season, finishing with a total time of 1:31.53. Senior Gusten Berglund finished second overall with a time of 1:32.87, Zachary Bion followed in third with a total time of 1:33.27, which featured the fastest run of the day in 44.05 seconds, and Mads Fondevik Syversen followed in fourth with a time of 1:34.94. Ian McCormick and William Mjelde finished sixth and seventh overall, respectively, to round out the Battlin' Bears in the top 10 individually.

The Battlin' Bears will return to conference action at Lookout Pass, Idaho beginning Saturday, February 3rd. Rocky Ski will return to Red Lodge Mountain to host the USCSA Western Regional Championship Meet beginning on Thursday, February 22nd.
